Theory: Jason and Lucia get diverging endings depending on loyalty

Rockstar has been teasing the Bonnie & Clyde angle hard, and every Bonnie & Clyde story ends one way. But GTA V gave us ending choices, so here's my theory:
The final heist forces a loyalty check. Stay loyal — you both barely escape and get the "ride into the sunset" ending. Betray — one of them takes the fall. I think the trailers are already hinting at the betrayal path with the motel scene.

The motel scene definitely reads different on rewatch. Lucia says 'trust' like four times across both trailers. That's not an accident.

Counter-theory: no choices at all. RDR2 had a fixed ending and it was the best story they ever wrote.

Fair, but RDR2 is a prequel — the ending was locked by canon. GTA 6 has no such constraint.

As long as I don't have to shoot Lucia I'm fine with anything. Not doing another Arthur, my heart can't take it.

what if the twist is the cops were the real villains all along... it IS florida after all

Both endings will be sad. It's Rockstar. Happiness is DLC.
