Xbox Store datamine: is GTA 6 Online shipping as a separate product?

Dataminers pulled apart the Xbox Store listing and found it split into separate components — Story, Ultimate Edition Upgrade, Vintage Pack, Extra. The reading going around is that the online mode ships as its own entitlement rather than being bundled with the campaign. Worth keeping the temperature down here: Rockstar has never officially announced GTA 6 Online in any form. Everything marketed so far is single player. A store manifest is not a roadmap. But combine it with those nine job listings about "fully customised dedicated servers" and a Creator Platform and it does start to look like something is being built that is not the campaign.

Agreed. And if they are hiring for UGC monetisation now, that thing is years out, not months. I would not expect online anywhere near launch.

The Creator Platform listings are the more interesting half of this. Player-hosted servers with custom rules is a completely different business than GTA Online was.

Separate entitlement does not automatically mean separate purchase. It can just be how they package a download that ships later.
